Brookville Eagles

Missed the action flights but got a couple glimpses of the baby eaglets..we think there are two.

Birds in SW Ohio

Redwinged black birds, robin, towhee and yellow-bellied sap sucker.

The Great Blue Heron Rookery!

Great blue herons and the black birds are Double-crested  cormorants.

The nests are .2 of a mile from where i was standing...need to walk around the park to get closer to these guys. Only had the Coolpix610 so flying bird photos are blurry...but the light was great, the sounds magical...red winged blackbirds singing and kvetching.

Will be Hummingbird Season soon!

Next month we should start seeing the Ruby Throated hummingbirds again!

Great Blue Herons Rookery

These guys know how to build FAR AWAY from we humanoids ;-) 300mm lens not strong enough...the Coolpix 610 wasnt close enough...had to use the digital zoom so quality not the best. Still exciting to see so many nesting...they look comical as if the nests are not big enough.
