More Bald Eagle

My first time capturing one in flight, today. Gorgeous. So Cincinnati, look up as you are walking around town. Seen this morning at Winton Woods.

Double Eagle Sightings

Seen by the lower level dam in Hamilton...across from Neilan Blvd parking lot...TWO Bald Eagles...about 3 trees apart..these were taken several hundred feet away with a Nikon Coolpix 610 with a 60 x zoom. My NikonD3300 telephoto 300mm no where near strong enough ! So fun...They can be seen up and down the river in Butler County.

POTW

Photographs of the week since I'm an airhead and forget to do this daily.

It's been a very cold week but I got to see a Bald Eagle fly over the river and back up to a tree...apparently caught his breakfast...the one angle of a seagull's face reminds me of an owl!  And against the City Municipal Plant building, I saw a gull in the middle of my photo.

Chicken Crossing the Road

This rooster was roaming through a big field so when he crossed the road, I stopped for a photo or two and to make sure he got across safely.  The feet out in the one photo cracked me up...just need Arkansas  Traveler tune in the background.

Another LifeBird! Bald Eagle

Exciting to see around here.

POTD

Eek, missed yesterday..here's some to make up!

To the left, out of view of the photo, is a green hopper style feeder with black sunflower seeds....pecking order as sparrows take turns, all day eating between the other birds.

Woodpeckers and Chickadee

Large Red Bellied Woodpecker -- never mind it is the head that is red.

Male downy has red dot on back of head.
Cute little chickadee, a bit blurry but for comparing size sake.

Today's photo subject

My first time seeing a A Northern Flicker! he was on the suet feeder. He was swinging on it and it was dark thus I had to use a long shutter and high ISO...a bit fuzzy but I caught a couple. Beautiful bird. the yellow under the tail and wing is striking...as well as the red v on head. Hope he comes back.
