The Great Blue Heron Rookery!
Great blue herons and the black birds are Double-crested cormorants.
The nests are .2 of a mile from where i was standing...need to walk around the park to get closer to these guys. Only had the Coolpix610 so flying bird photos are blurry...but the light was great, the sounds magical...red winged blackbirds singing and kvetching.
Fly softly and carry a big stick. Adding on to the nest.
bad quality photo, cropped a lot, but the bird lands on tiny limb. Anti gravity birds!
